Réaménagement du Vieux Port de Cannes

Le Maire de Cannes, David Lisnard, a annoncé en conférence de presse le 27 février dernier le lancement des travaux d’envergure du Vieux Port de Cannes. Ce projet, présenté aux professionnels et aux acteurs économiques du secteur, concerne l’ensemble des activités: pêche, plaisance, yachting, côtiers et croisières.

Le projet est issu de la nouvelle délégation de service public, attribuée en 2021 au groupement  IGY/Fayat qui investira 56,2M€ dans la transformation de ce port, où se mêlent activités commerciales et plaisance. Cette présentation organisée par Mme Martin De Oliveira, élue au maritime, a donné lieu à de nombreux échanges entre professionnels, services et direction de la Mairie de Cannes et représentants de la société IGY Marina du Vieux Port de Cannes. Ces derniers se sont engagés à revenir vers les personnes présentes pour une prochaine concertation sur les infrastructures maritimes, notamment celles dédiées aux activités commerciales.

Ce projet se déploie en trois grandes parties:

  • Village des pêcheurs dont les travaux ont commencé le 9 janvier 2023 pour une livraison prévue à l’été 2023

  • Secteur Laubeuf, avec un début des travaux prévu fin 2023 pour une livraison au 1er janvier 2027. Ce projet prévoir la réouverture du Quai Laubeuf au public, la construction d’une gare maritime croisière, un parking semi-enterré avec deux niveaux en sous-sol, un parking ombragé pour les bus/cars des croisiéristes, le déplacement de l’aire de carénage en lieu et place de l’actuel parking et le regroupement des embarcations de commerce (côtiers, services publics, croisières) sur le Quai Laubeuf. Le quai du large sera électrifié et après le déplacement de la station de carburant, il sera disponible  sur toutes sa longueur pour les plus grandes unités yachts ou croisière puissent y accoster. 

  • Extension Jetée Albert Edouard (côté Palais des Festivals) dont les travaux devraient débuter en janvier 2024 pour une livraison en juillet 2026. Cette extension qui demandera des travaux de dragage et de déroctage remplacera la jeté actuelle. Au delà de sa réorientation, elle se prolongera jusqu’au phare du sécant, créant ainsi 250 mètres de nouveaux quais. Cette zone sera réservée aux yachts jusqu’à 80 mètres et au centre de cette nouvelle jetée, un yacht club sera édifiée sur pilotis.

Tout en réaffirmant le souhait qu’une majorité de ces travaux puissent s’effectuer par la mer pour limiter l’impact environnement et la perturbation du trafic, l’UM06 accompagne et encourage ce projet de transformation, car au-delà de son aspect urbanistique et architectural, il tient compte de toutes les activités qui font partie intégrante de la richesse sociale et économique du port et de la ville de Cannes.

Il s’agit désormais de réussir et travailler sur la cohabitation de toutes ces activités maritimes et portuaires qui vont se retrouver dans un même espace. La mairie et l’exploitant se sont engagés à concerter les professionnels pour aborder ces sujets techniques et logistiques avec l’objectif d’une qualité de service à la hauteur du projet et d’assurer la sécurité des passagers et des embarcations regroupées sur ce même plan d’eau. Concernant la phase de transition, nous avons reçu l’assurance que les croisières ne seront pas impactées et bénéficieront des infrastructures existantes durant les travaux.
